Bike Safety ABC's

BIKE ABC.JPG

Before riding my bike, I always check three things. The ABC’s.

A - Air - Test with a tire gauge to see if your tires are at the correct pressure. Add or release air if needed.

B - Brakes - Test your brakes before riding your bike. If your brake pads are slipping, adjust or replace before your ride.

C - Chain - Make sure your chain is tight and does not fall off. This would be extremely bad especially if your brakes are tied to your chain. Also check your chain for any damage, broken links, or rust. Oil your chain and gears if needed.

You will want to ensure that your tires have the correct air pressure. Your chain is tight and in place. And your brakes are in good working condition. Your bike adventure will be less than ideal if any of the three ABC’s are missing. Check each point before starting your ride. And ALWAYS wear your helmet!

Stay safe, have fun!
