Emergency Preparedness Requirement 2b

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of those affected by the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria this morning. It’s one of those strange coincidences that I was working on this post over the weekend and a large natural disaster strikes.

The Emergency Preparedness merit badge has us looking at how to Prepare, Respond, Recover, Mitigate and Prevent emergency situations. In reality, it’s not really a matter of “if” an emergency strikes… but “when”.

The requirement has us planning on a chart, graph, spreadsheet, or another method approved by your counselor for 10 different situations. We have 18 to choose from with the exception of the first 5 scenarios. These 5 in bold must be used within your 10 situations.

At the bottom of this post you will find a free printable to assist you with demonstrating your understanding of each aspect of emergency preparedness listed.
