Shotgun Shell Slide

One thing is inevitable when you go skeet shooting. There is going to be a pile of shotgun shells! Yes, you could hand-load your shells to reuse them the next time you go shooting if reloading ammo is your thing. Or, you can make a ton of neckerchief slides for your troop or pack.

Shotgun Shell Neckerchief Slide

How to make a shotgun shell neckerchief slide

Needed:

  • Empty shotgun shell

  • Small Saw or Sharp Knife

  • Glue Gun

  • Marker / Pen

Step One - With your pen, mark 1/8” from the head of the shotgun shell.

Step Two - Using your knife or small saw (I used a stationary scroll saw), cut the shell at the mark separating the head from the case.

Step Three - Using your glue gun, attach the head onto the case. I like to have the top of the slide be the part that the cut was made. Having the bottom of the slide be the section of the casing where the shot was blasted out adds to the coolness of this slide. I also like to attach the head right-side-up so I can read the brand and the gauge.
