Halloween Spooky Bat Printable

Halloween is one of my absolute favorite holidays. As a kid I remember the first Saturday in October being a day that we would be excited for. This was the day that Mom brought out the Halloween decorations and put them up all through the house. We keep this tradition within our family now.

About 10 years ago, I came home from work one day to find that my wife had cut out about 50 little black bats and decorated the living room wall with them using sticky tack. It was awesome! We continue to use those cutout bats to this day. The bat cutout that my wife found those years back is still my favorite design. We have no idea where this design came from as it was pre Pinterest days. So, I have created a free printable for you to use this Halloween season.

There are two different pdf’s that you can use. The first is a solid black bat that you can make multiple copies of and then cut out. The second is an outline of the bat so you can place crafting paper into your printer and print onto the colored paper. The outline printable can also be use as a coloring page that you can then cut out and hang the multi unique bats up on the wall.

Tips:

  • After cutting the bats out, crease their wings towards your. Doing this will make them look as they have taken flight and are not so flat against the wall.

  • Use sticky tack to place on your wall rather than tape. This will protect your walls along with keeping your bat ready for the next Halloween season. In our case, over ten years of Halloween seasons.

  • Use card stock. They look and last longer if not printed on regular paper. Something a little thicker to make them last.
